HUMAN TRANSFORMATION THROUGH RHYTHM

1 flow line with transparent background_edited.png

Challenging Rhythmic Perception is Challenging Spatial Perception

Vestibular/balance, spatial perception and rhythmic perception are all inter-connected through the cerebellum, parietal cortex and prefrontal cortex . These sensor-motor abilities and corresponding brain regions are both supported and challenged at different times within a 'Rhythm Journey'. This happens through the interplay of call and response vocal rhythms that either overlay or disjoint the archetypal step and clap movements. The inevitable falling in and out of rhythm that is an essential part of the process creates fluctuations of vestibular, spatial and rhythmic chaos and order phases.

Chaos and Order; A Catalyst for Change

These phases are accompanied by desynchronisation and resynchronisation of neural activity within the brain which modulate what is called 'normalised global spatial complexity'(NGSC) this:

In the desynchronisation phase

  • Reflects a loosening of ridged brain patterns.

  • Enables new patterns of thought, behaviour and movement to be established.

In the resynchronisation phase

  • leads to stronger global functional connectivity

  • leads to enhanced synchronization across brain regions.

Quantum Leaps in Human Intelligence

Through these fluctuations of chaos and order the brain self-organises into a more integrated state, the effects (of modulating NGSP) correlate exactly with the therapeutic outcomes observed in the URC rhythm process:

  • Improved emotional processing

  • Reduced rumination in depression.

  • Quantum leaps in rhythmic ability and mental functioning.

  • Increased intuition and creativity.

  • Increased vagal tone (confirmed with ECG)

  • Deep neural relaxation (confirmed with ECG)

  • Increased presence

  • Increased Inner silence

  • Increased postural reflex

  • Increased sensor-motor co-ordination

Rhythm for Transformation

These profound changes experienced after URC Rhythm process makes it a powerful and very safe non-pharmaceutical alternative to therapies such as Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy. Furthermore URC rhythm process provides extra benefits not found in such therapies.

  • Awakening of the  Innate Rhythmic Body Intelligence

  • An opportunity to witness and understand personal and social transformation through the lens of system dynamics.

  • Develop the inner skills to use chaos, instability and uncertainty as a creative force in ones life.

  • Experience multi-dimensional awareness through the practice of simultaneity.

  • Experience deep meditation and flow states naturally through rhythmic process.

  • Experience how to reset, revitalise and repattern the nervous system through rhythmic practice.
